Liposuction Turkey

Liposuction Turkey

Liposuction in Turkey is a popular procedure used by both men and women who are struggling to lose the last few stubborn pockets of fat. This technique can help to remove any unwanted fat deposits, which even the strictest of diet and exercise regimes cannot solve. Body fat can be distributed anywhere in the body, with some of the most common areas being the hips, neck, arms, tummy, loins and thighs. In men, fatty swellings can also be found under the nipples, which results in the chest of a man replicating women’s breasts. Localised fat can be reduced using a liposuction procedure.

Deposits of body fat are a common issue in men and women of all ages and too often, exercise and diet aren’t enough to remove these stubborn pockets. Often referred to as liposculpture or suction-assisted lipectomy, liposuction offers a solution for both cosmetic and health-related concerns in all eligible patients. Through the removal of stubborn fat, surgeons can reduce stores in ‘problem areas’ to better sculpt and balance a person’s overall figure.

The general liposuction Turkey procedure for removal of fat involves the injection of a sterile liquid through a series of small cuts that will not only dissolve the fat but reduce any bleeding, bruising and trauma. A thin tube is then inserted into the incisions, through which excess fat will then be loosened, and suctioned free of the body via a medically and body-safe vacuum.

Your liposuction in Turkey can be completed using one of several variations of this professional technique, including tumescent liposuction, the super-wet technique, ultrasound-assisted liposuction (UAL) and laser-assisted liposuction (LAL). While the tumescent and ultrasound-assisted methods are the most commonly used at GO2 Health, your surgeon will provide full advice dependant on your body and the right option for the best results, across each option available.

Tumescent liposuction is perhaps the most widely used method and involves injecting a measured volume of liquid into the target fat deposit. This liquid is a mixture of a local anaesthetic (lidocaine), epinephrine and an IV salt solution and can be up to three times the amount of fat that needs to be removed. This mixture helps to remove the fat when the tube is inserted, making the suction process much smoother, however, it can take longer than other methods.

Super-wet liposuction is a misleading title – it actually requires less fluid than a tumescent procedure. The liquid used will amount to the fat wanting to be removed but as a result, patients could require general anaesthetic or sedation in order to remain pain-free throughout the procedure.

Ultrasound-assisted liposuction (UAL), often referred to as Vaser liposuction, uses ultrasonic waves to break down the fat deposits, providing a less invasive method for those concerned about scarring.

A suction process is still required, but due to targeted ultrasound use, it eliminates the need to break down fat using liquid. This is particularly useful for fibrous areas of the body, such as the back or male breast tissue. Vaser liposuction in Turkey offers greater precision than other methods, although it may take longer in some cases compared to tumescent or super-wet techniques.

Laser-assisted liposuction (LAL) is also available when opting for liposuction in Turkey, however, this method is often reserved for smaller, or more confined treatments, such as those around the face. This method uses lasers to turn fat deposits into liquid, rather than injecting a solution directly. As with the other methods listed, this still requires being vacuumed out, but is done via smaller tubes than tumescent or Vaser liposuction techniques.

The liposuction Turkey procedure method used will differ on a case by case basis, which can be discussed in detail with your surgeon in your briefing prior to surgery. This may also depend on any potential risks that you may face with each method. As with any cosmetic procedure, there is an element of risk. These can include:

  • Infection
  • Bleeding
  • Swelling
  • Pain
  • Asymmetry
  • Bagginess Of Skin
  • Pigmentation Changes
  • Fluid Retention
  • Removal Of Too Much Fat Can Cause Shock

During your surgery, you will be treated by experienced surgeons who have experience in producing desirable, but most importantly, safe results. Every care is taken to minimise or eradicate risks, and with aftercare support available for the 12 months following your procedure, any side effects or unexpected results can be handled swiftly.
